Joe Budden’s song from 2003, ‘Pump It Up‘ was his biggest hit and is often brought back in conversations in reference to the rapper. It’s another story that he hates the track now.
But the producer of the song, Just Blaze made an interesting revelation during an episode of Sole Collector’s Full Size Run. He told the hosts Trinidad James, Matt Welty and Brendan Dunne at the 2:10 mark that the the song was originally about masturbation. Of course, the men were surprised to hear that.
“Do you know the original version of ‘Pump It Up’ was about masturbation?” Just Blaze said in the clip which you can watch above. “You know how in the second verse he’s like, ‘My jump off doesn’t care if I go out so much. My jump off..’ Originally it was, ‘My hand doesn’t worry if I go out so much. My hand doesn’t worry about..’ That’s a fun fact.”
