50 Cent Says Steve Jobs Paid Him $150k for iPod’s 1st Placement in ‘P.I.M.P’ Video

50 Cent has been doing some rounds of interviews with different outlets in promotion of his new book Hustle Harder, Hustle Smarter which is now available to purchase.

After chatting with MSNBC’s Ari Melber on the show, he also did an Instagram Live session with him on Sunday. Ari, who is a big fan of 50, asked the rap mogul about some of the content in the book, receiving the star on Hollywood Walk of Fame & reuniting with Dr. Dre at the event, why Interscope cut his budgets towards the end of his contract, Chief Keef (and his non appearance in the ‘Hate Bein Sober’ video) and more.

While talking about his SMS Audio line potentially creating issues with the Interscope head honcho since Jimmy and Dre were pushing Beats audio products, 50 revealed something interesting: he was the first person to promote the iPod in a music video (for ‘P.I.M.P‘), an idea that he had pitched to Steve Jobs during an impromptu meeting. 50 said he got paid a whopping $150,000 for the same and marked Apple’s groundbreaking audio player’s first placement ever in a music video.

50 also discussed The Game (he said he has no ill will anymore), past issues with Jimmy Iovine, his TV career and more in rest of the chat which you can watch below.
