Doja Cat Donates $100K To The Justice For Breonna Taylor Fund

Doja Cat has been missing from the scene ever since the controversy erupted two weeks ago over alleged racist behavior which she later clarified.

The rapper-singer has returned today to announce that has donated $100,000 to the fund set up to honor Breonna Taylor in celebration of what would have been her 27th birthday. “I am donating $100,000 to Justice For Breonna Taylor Fund #BIRTHDAYFORBREONNA and I am inviting you all to honor and celebrate her with me by donating whatever you can and signing her petition – the link is in my bio,” Doja wrote on Instagram and included receipts from her two $50,000 donations.

“We are all in this together and together is the ONLY way to demand change for a better world,” she added. June 5th marked what would have been Breonna’s 27th birthday. Her killers haven’t been charged or arrested but there’s a huge movement to seek justice in her case.

Breonna, an ER technician, was fatally shot by Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) officers on March 13 after they entered her home with a no-knock warrant, which allowed the police to enter without warning or without identifying themselves as law enforcement. Breonna was shot 8 times after a confrontation, leading to her death. You can learn details about the case here.
