[Saturday Spotlight] 3DM. + Jinx Da Rebel

Welcome back to another week of Saturday Spotlight!

Last week we saw King P and David Tropp steal the spotlight with incredible talent showcased. Seeing the dedication and loyalty of our brand is as motivating as it is captivating. Here, all styles and mediums are welcome. Whether you’re a rapper, producer, singer or a jack of all trades — come through, show the world what you really have in-store.

The second week of Saturday Spotlight means even more submissions than the previous week! As previously mentioned, all styles are welcome, and the artists that have submitted this week most definitely push the envelope on our current sounds and trends. It’s hard to keep up with a genre like Hip-Hop that’s constantly changing daily. Without further ado, here are the winners of Week 2 of Saturday Spotlight:

3DM.

Introducing first is from Brooklyn, New York, the nexus of budding Hip-Hop trends and artists that are in-sync with the city and its surroundings — 3DM. 3DM is from Canarsie, the same part of Brooklyn the late Pop Smoke is from. Stepping away from the usual confines of Drill music that is all the rage in New York, 3DM pulls inspiration from artists like Larry June and Dom Kennedy to develop a style that embodies the ethos of hustling in the streets of New York. Check out his standout ‘1045AM Freestyle’ below, taken from his G-Type album. Don’t forget to check out the intro to his album which we’re loving.

Jinx Da Rebel

Up next is Jinx Da Rebel, the artist from Gary, Indiana that’s bringing West Coast vibes to the coke-dust laden city made famous by Freddie Gibbs. Previously being a military veteran, Jink decided to embark on a rap career with his first album released this past April. With his hit, ‘Shot Caller’ that’s racked in roughly 5,700 viewers is catchy, with verses that stick to the ribs upon every play. For the rest of the year, Jinx will release new track week after week, hooking in new listeners with every drop. Also, did I mention he shoots his own music videos? This one’s quite interesting. Check out ‘Shot Caller’ below.
