DMX ‘EXODUS’ First Week Sales

UPDATE (June 4): DMX’s album has moved 32k copies in the first week to debut at #8. Out of the total, 14k were from pure sales.

Previous story (May 29):

DMX’s new album EXODUS has been the talk of town in rap community over the last two days.

The album is a posthumous one after his unfortunate passing last month but it was completed a few weeks before the music legend’s death. The only change that happened was Pop Smoke’s verse on ‘Money Money Money’ didn’t make the cut and Moneybagg Yo replaced him at the last minute.

Today, we have the first week sales projections for EXODUS. The album is projected to move 28-32k copies in the first week with about 12-14k coming from pure sales, reports HDD. It should be able to debut in the top 10 of Billboard 200 but this is definitely a lower number than we expected.

The album features production from Swizz Beatz in addition to AraabMuzik, Mr. Porter, Jerry Wonda, and even Kanye West on the last song, the prayer. On Friday, a music video for the song ‘Hood Blues’ was also released, featuring Westside Gunn, Benny The Butcher and Conway.
