How’s it going HHNM readers? With all the Eminem madness taking place in the last week, we want to take the time out to shine the light on 2 awesome upcomers for our Saturday Spotlight. The first rhyme spitter is a young cat named Jay Verze who has a dope new visual for us and the latter is gritty emcee TwoLetterz with a 3-track EP that is sure to impress. Enjoy!
Jay Verze
For our first spotlight we have Baltimore emcee Jay Verze and his lead single ‘Juicin” off of his sophomore project ‘Life Through My Dark Shades’ due out this Winter. Jay’s wordplay and flow fits perfectly with the head-nodding instrumental provided by Johnny Juliano and the accompanying Addy Lee-directed cut mirrors just that. Join Verze and the homies at his house party below and download the audio for ‘Juicin” here. This’ll be on repeat for a while.
TwoLetterz
The next featured artist in this week’s Saturday Spotlight is TwoLetterz and his awesome 3-track EP titled ‘Goodbye Summer’ produced entirely by Reg Young. The first track ‘Tears Of Joy’ is an honest offering where Two talks about overcoming the struggles he’s endured in life. Reg provided a funky instrumental on the next track ‘Either Way’ and Two ripped it apart. For the title track, TwoLetterz showcases his lyrical ability over an instrumental from Reg Young that will do quite well in the club scene. Stream/Download below and be on the lookout for their collaborative full length LP due out in 2014.
