[Saturday Spotlight] – Dub-O, Rickie Jacobs, & $lade

How’s it going HHNM readers? We hope the start of the new year is going well for everyone, even though none of you have kept your New Year’s resolutions. Just kidding. Anyway, back to business — it’s time for our weekly Saturday Spotlight series here at HHNM. Today, we’ll be featuring 3 dope tracks from 3 promising artists — Dub-O with his freestyle over Drake’s ‘We Made It’, Rickie Jacobs and his banger ‘Cartel’, and $lade’s smooth tune ‘Let You Go’. Dub-O

Some of you might know Dub-O for his affiliation with Machine Gun Kelly and his EST 19XX label, but that’s not all the Cleveland spitter should be known for. Although we don’t post remixes too often on our Saturday Spotlight series, Dub’s fiery freestyle over Drake’s recent banger ‘We Made It’ was deemed worthy by the staff. Rickie Jacobs

Next up is Baltimore lyricist Rickie Jacobs who delivers an energetic banger titled ‘Cartel’. The instrumental provided by 183rd is the perfect platform for Jacobs to showcase his lyrical wordplay and enticing flow. The rhyme-spitter is gearing up to release his long-awaited project Remember To Smile in early February, but before then Rickie intends to keep us well-fed by releasing a new track or video every week leading up to the album release. Last but not least is Tampa Bay’s own $lade and his captivating track ‘Let You Go’, which is a message to the ladies out there. $lade has a very calm and mellow-sounding vibe that forces you to channel in quite intently. Tha Hydrox offers an extremely dope instrumental as well — overall this one hits!
