Previous story:
Yesterday was a big day for Hip-Hop album releases with artists like Rick Ross, Jeremih, Curren$y, G-Eazy and Kid Cudi all releasing albums. Some sales projections are now out.
G-Eazy and his huge underground following lead the pack with an amazing 95k–100k for projections. With streams included, he’s expected to move 115k–130k. These numbers will surprise a lot of people.
Ross’ numbers might surprise people too, but not in the same way. The rapper’s Black Market album is projected to sell 50k–55k (with SPS that’s 60k–65k), which is actually a little lower than his last album Hood Billionaire.
Kid Cudi’s Speedin’ Bullet 2 Heaven album (which he described as “Alternative” and not Hip-Hop) comes in with projections of 17k–20k (that’s 18k–21k with the streaming system).
Did you predict these numbers?
