Good afternoon, all and welcome to this week’s edition of the HHNM Saturday Spotlight. If you’re an aspiring artist and you want 2016 to be your year, this is the place for you. This week we present Nu3ra Ness, Jordan Brown, Jacob Latimore, China Mac and ((*CU*)). Enjoy!
Remember: We take submissions for this series. Please see guidelines here.
Nu3ra Ness
Nu3ra Ness is a Fan Of Success, hence the name of his recent mixtape. The DMV upstart continues his campaign by pushing forth a cut from the project which will act as a single. It’s titled ‘Yea Yea’ and is very chilled. Take a listen to it below and check out his mixtape if you like what you hear.
Jordan Brown
The second pick this week comes by way of Lawrence, KS and Jordan Brown who offers an official remix to his song ‘Gone’. ARKTKT adds depth to the production which only propels the original tune and makes Jordan’s vocals sound that much better. Stay tuned for a new EP in the coming weeks and check out the remix below.
Jacob Latimore
A few days ago, a new song from Jacob Latimore titled ‘Remember Me’ made its debut on Ebro’s Beats 1 Radio show. It’s the second preview of Jacob’s forthcoming EP and to support it, he recently launched the #RememberMeChallenge on Triller which gives fans the opportunity to make their own music video. Check out the song below.
China Mac
Our fourth pick this week is from China Mac who hails from Chinatown in NYC. With all the recent talk about NY Hip-Hop struggling, this is a breath of fresh air. Production is handled by Layzee Dee while Mac and fellow NY native Dave East spit aggressively. Be sure to take a listen to it below.
((*CU*))
Last but not least is Hampton, VA duo ((*CU*)) (which stands for Clearly Undeniable). They opened 2016 with their new record ‘I Can’t’. If this is any indication of what’s to come in the rest of the year, we’re very excited for the near future. Check it out below via HHS1987.
