French Montana Says He Helped Produce Rae Sremmurd’s ‘Powerglide’ Without Credit

French Montana is continuing to do interviews with different outlets and almost every time, kicking off something to talk about.

His comments that he “structured” the multi platinum hit ‘Unforgettable’ with Swae Lee led to issues with his collaborator. Swae Lee called it “cap” and said that he had the original version to prove that French wasn’t the one responsible for the success of the song.

Now the New York rapper is claiming that he produced Rae Sremmurd’s 2018 hit ‘Powerglide‘ but never took any credit for it. In a chat with Billboard, French says he came up with the whole idea for the song with DJ Paul at Mally Mal’s studio. “They come in, Swae Lee did a verse on it,” he says. “After I produced it, ask me if I had made one percent off that? I’m the one that came with the whole idea. I’m the one that came up with everything. Gave it to DJ Paul and Juicy J. They produced it.”

He says he’s never received anything from it but since Swae took shots at French over the ‘Unforgettable’ claims, he will come for his share off Rae Sremmurd’s song. “Do you think I came after them to get anything, but now that he said that, I’m coming to get my piece. I need my piece of ‘Powerglide.’ I made it,” French warned. Watch the clip above.

Last week, French dropped his new single ‘Cold‘ with Tory Lanez.
