Rapper Jeezy and TV host Jeannie Mai have tied the knot after one year of being engaged. The happy couple got married in an intimate ceremony on March 27 in Atlanta. According to Vogue, the couple was looking forward to celebrating this special day with their friends and family. “We were really looking forward to having all of our friends and family there to celebrate. But we had to change all of our wedding plans due to COVID. After Jeezy’s mother unexpectedly passed, we quickly learned that life is too short. And at the end of the day, Jeezy and I really just wanted to become husband and wife. So we decided to turn our original wedding into a mini-mony, where we exchanged our vows in front of our immediate family and a few close friends,” Jeannie told the magazine.

Mai and Jeezy got engaged after dating for nearly two years. On March 27, 2020, the rapper popped the question at home in Los Angeles, while the pair was isolating due to the pandemic. The two met when Jeezy was a guest on Jeannie’s daytime talk show The Real. “Years later, he asked me out on a date. We shared a romantic sushi dinner in Los Angeles and salsa danced the night away. Later that evening, he asked if I could picture spending the rest of my life with him. And crazy enough, I could.”
Congratulations to the happy couple!
