Tory Lanez Sells 1 Million Copies of NFT Album ‘When It’s Dark’ in 60 Seconds

Tory Lanez announced last week that he will be offering a million copies of his new album When It’s Dark at $1 each through NFT.

The collaboration is with Emmersive Entertainment, a subsidiary of Vinco Ventures, Inc., founded by FloRida, David J. Kovacs and Erik Hicks. Today, the company has announced that the Canadian artist managed to sell a million copies of the album in less than 60 seconds. The limited-edition E-NFT was distributed on the E-NFT.com platform and promoted through Lomotif, a global leader in User Generated Music content.

Tory even uploaded a video on his Instagram to celebrate the win. When It’s Dark features seven original songs and a seven original art piece collection curated by Tory, in partnership with Emmersive Entertainment. Fans who purchased this limited album now have the opportunity to resell the album at a bigger price to generate a profit.

“First and foremost, I put blood, sweat and tears into creating my music, because delivering the highest quality of music is paramount for me,” Tory Lanez had said about the venture. “I couldn’t be more excited to have a platform from Emmersive Entertainment that allows my fans and collectors alike to not only hear my music, but become entrepreneurs as well if they choose to, by having the ability to resell and set their own price on the open market. This allows for a completely different kind of fan engagement, which is the next iteration of the music industry, an absolute paradigm shift. I’m proud to be in partnership with a team that fully supports my vision.”

Yesterday, Tory responded to Cassidy with a diss song that impressed a lot of fans.
