Pusha T On Alleged Drake Diss: “After What I’ve Done… That’s Not Scathing”

After one heck of a promo run, last night, Pusha T finally released his new album It’s Almost Dry to a grand reception. The album had been getting love all week after advance copies were sent out and it surfaced online. You can stream it here and check out the production credits for it here.

This morning, Push stopped by with The Breakfast Club’s DJ Envy and Angela Yee. He talked about the album, owning his masters, the recent Clipse reunion and more. Of course, the topic of Drake came up.

Envy asked Push about his stance on Ye and Drake squashing their beef, to which Push essentially said that it was their business and had nothing to do with him. Then, the recent Jack Harlow and Drake leak ‘Have A Turn’ came up.

When the song dropped, many speculated that some lines in Drake’s verse were about Pusha. He raps:

My urges for revenge are uncontrollable
I know we’re getting older though, yeah
But I gotta get the n*gga back for that
It’s non-negotiable, it’s not even debatable…
All I hear is plug talk coming from middlemen…
If I see you, I spit in your faces, ha-tu
Daytonas with the green faces

Responding to the bars, Push said “I even heard that and it sounds old to me. Like the flow sound old… Even what is considered like the shots, it’s like… Bro, after what I’ve done.. the “middle man” talk and all that type of talk, that’s not like, scathing for me… I’m here to burn down anything.”

He went on to say that he ignores it because it’s subliminal, though he says that as a lyricist, he has a file of fire for whatever. You can check out the clip below.
