Meek Mill nearly ended up in a fight while attending Gervonta Davis’ win over Hector Luis Garcia on Saturday night in Washington DC.
The Philly rapper was in the building to support Tank in the main event but also in attendance and sitting nearby was former WBC featherweight world champion Gary Russell Jr, along with some of his friends. Russell Jr has had beef with Gervonta in the past so he was supporting his rival in the fight, which seems to have led to an argument between him and Meek.
“Congratulations tankkk!!!” Mill tweeted, who was cheering for Gervonta. “I almost fought a boxer telling him this fight not going 12 rounds. I missed the big bomb!!!”
I would never let no petty shit escalate to let somebody movie run …. I just walked away .. I came to support tank and boots!!!!!! Good wins ✨✨✨✨✨

I have no business going back and forth that hard with a random person and we just talking about sports…so my apologies for wasting time for nothing! I had a few shots I know how to dodge those! Congrats Tank and boots!!!

He then followed up, saying that he would “never let no petty (stuff) escalate” before adding “I just walked away … I came to support tank and boots!!!!!!. Good wins.”

An altercation kicked off between the two parties with the pushing ringside viewable to audience on the live Showtime PPV broadcast. Referee Albert Earl Brown was even seen pausing the fight because of the disturbance from ringside where Wallo was visible as well. Thankfully, the issue was resolved without any unnecessary violence.
“Congratulations Tankkk!!! I almost fought a boxer telling him this fight not going 12 rounds, I missed the big bomb!!!!” Meek tweeted further.
