Atlanta’s very own lyrical genius, rapper JID, is hyperfocused onto making a statement for the rollout of his upcoming album God Does Like Ugly. So focused, that JID has decided to release an entire project before the release of his forthcoming album. The 4 song pack, titled GDLU: The Preluxe, is finally out for streaming.
The Preluxe had its own mini rollout too; with tracks like ‘32 (Freestyle),’ and more recently, ‘Beau,‘ JID left no ambiguity in revealing the energy with which he is stepping into this new phase of his musical career.
Taken seriously as an artist on account of dexterous flows and impeccable lyricism (not to mention his obvious proclivity for intricate storytelling), it now seems as if JID is heading towards solidifying his legacy as a serious artist with a consistently marvelous body of work.
