While many people continue to not give Wale his flowers, the artist has managed to go on release after release setting a higher standard for good music and premium lyricism. Playing with warm tones, posh interiors and luxurious landscapes, the video perfectly compliments the blend of R&B, rap and afrobeats. The film meanders between cinematic stills and motion, creating an ebb and flow that matches the flow of the track.
In many ways, the visual motifs play on the voyeuristic title, tastefully exhibiting intimacy, luxury and a sense of connection without being too much. Needless to say, the color grade and pacing is just as well intentioned, and elevates the track a notch or two. Check it out for yourself below!
