UPDATE 6: In the official statement, it has been confirmed that this was in fact a hoax. One expensive prank call.
UPDATE 5: The house has been searched and the all-clear has been given.
UPDATE 4: SWAT is engaged and clearing the inside of the house looking for victims.
UPDATE 3: A spokesperson has said that the person calling the dispatch team claimed to have been the one who shot 4 people.
UPDATE 2: There is no indication of a shooting or victim. The house is yet to be entered by SWAT. A construction worker claimed to have heard a gunshot at around 12:30 EST.
UPDATE: Cortez Bryant is on the scene and it has been confirmed that Lil Wayne was not present at the house at the time of the potential shooting. Mack Maine also tweeted that everyone is good. Check that out here.
Shots have been fired at Lil Wayne’s Miami beach home. A call to police was made by someone who was not actually at the house and it was suggested that there could be 4 victims who are inured but this was not confirmed at any point. The reporter did state that there was a similar situation a few weeks ago which turned out to be a hoax but as of now, this will be treated as authentic. We will update you as details arise.
