The much awaited song from DIVINE and Sidhu Moose Wala, ‘Chorni’ is finally out to the world.
The track already has an iconic status as fans have been desperately looking forward to the release which suffered from a few delays. DIVINE first teased the song during his headlining set at Lollapalooza in Mumbai back in January which got a massive reaction from audience.
Since then, fans of both artists have been demanding the release of the track which was recorded before Sidhu was tragically killed in a shooting in Punjab last May. When ‘Chorni’ was finally released yesterday (July 7) on DSPs, fans noticed that the production had some tweaks from the original played at Lolla which did not go down well with majority of them.
Responding quickly to the backlash, DIVINE took to Instagram stories and announced that he will reverse the changes and update the audio with the original version that fans fell in love with. Today, the updated version is live across streaming platforms.
Moreover, the music video has been released as well which combines shots of Sidhu created with help from VFX & CGI, and fresh footage of DIVINE performing the track. It’s directed by Navkaran Brar and contains the original version of audio, produced by DRUGS Beats, Mex Manny and Navjosh Singh.
Featuring a classic sample from iconic Indian singer Lata Mangeshkar, and hard hitting production combined with memorable verses from both DIVINE and Sidhu, ‘Chorni’ will surely go down in history.
