The good doctor is finally here with his first official single off Detox produced by Alex Da Kid. The song leaked a lil while back but here’s the approved product via Interscope Records which was sent to radio stations a few hours ago. Buy the single on February 1st. For now, here’s a stream.

Update: Available on iTunes now.

It’s crazy we only hear Dr. Dre after 3mn22 on HIS first official single. It felt more like a “Eminem featuring Dr. Dre” song instead of a “Dr. Dre featuring Eminem” song.

His flow is below average, and his inactive years really show.

But the most disappointing thing is that it’s not even a Dr. Dre produced track.

  8. Navjosh 28. Jan, 2011 at 5:51 pm #

^ Dre has never been a ‘rapper’ primarily. He’s a producer. Him only rapping for little time is not a problem.

  9. chtimixeur 28. Jan, 2011 at 6:36 pm #

I agree, but he used to be decent at least. I’m really wondering what his input is on this song : he didn’t write the lyrics (Em probably did), he didn’t produce it (Alex Da Kid did), and he’s almost a guest on his own single.

It’s a shame : I was hoping he would come back with a huge single which would sound like Dr Dre material, and not like an Eminem song off Recovery :/

  10. SyR 28. Jan, 2011 at 8:08 pm #

Nothing special about this song imo

  11. NotPorn 29. Jan, 2011 at 2:38 pm #

How did I predict these lyrics before the song started? I haven’t even listened to these fools in years. Even if I did hear them, it was accidental. As far as Em’s career goes, I still think JUICE could murder him anyday, AGAIN. Especially since they’re just using autotune and spitting the same bullshit style.

Repetitive, mainstream rap. What happened to Hip Hop? Real cats like KRS ONE, CHUCK D, JUICE, QWEL, MOLEMEN, and all sorts of others that are severely unappreciated because these white kids can’t keep up with lyrics faster than 60BPM. Not even like they’re listening to the lyrics anyway. “I JUST LIKE THE BEAT.” The same audience loves Jersey Shore.

I think they REALLY DO NEED A DOCTOR. Maybe bring a little bit of life to their work. They’re on some zombie shit as far as I’m concerned. It sounds like some marketable, pre-school bullshit. How long did they take to write this? Goddamn! I’m wishing 2012 would come earlier after hearing this bullshit. This sounds like some pussy, needs a bodyguard bullshit.

What the fuck happened to hip hop? I don’t even consider this hip hop. This is rap. Rap is bullshit. Hip Hop is community and intelligence. Rap is consumerism, exploitation, and mainstream linkin park sounding bullshit with white girls singing the chorus.

FUCK OFF, DRE AND EM. You’ve been over. I say this knowing that you will never read it. Even if you did, you’d be like, “what else can we do?”

Glad to see they aren’t interested in making a difference, and constantly contradict all the philosophical bullshit they tried to stick to when they still had life in their eyes. Give me your contract, you fucks. I’ll battle you for it. I’ll make sure I get your shine, disown the record companies, get sued, and be more respected than you could ever be for going back on your own dreams.

Dre dont need to do shit. He’s Dre. This song is meant to be a tribute to him, if people don’t get that then they stupid. Furthermore you people are acting like you aint ever heard a dre album before, Snoop had as much song time on chronic as Dre did, the song explosive on 2001 doesn’t even have dre on it!

Yall know your going to buy his shit, when it drops all of you going to be riding his dick again just like all the big name artist’s who be brown nosing Dre recently.

stfu & just enjoy the music. Holy fuck quit wasting your time trying to preach about shit people don’t give 2 shits about. Good day.

Not porn is right on everything but the 2012 thing, they already proved that theory wrong bud, we’ll still be here in 2014. Dre and Em went soft a long time ago and are only doing this for money like if they were to make a batman movie and put bane and catwoman as the villains.

  15. king Louie 02. Feb, 2011 at 3:41 am #

“One more CD and then I’m packing up my bags and as I leave
I guarantee they’ll scream, Dre don’t leave us like that man cause…”

Dre Is BACK! why you scared “chtimixeur, hustla, Notporn, and spooner”. what Dre did for the hip hop game started back in the 80’s. you bustas would never know what hip hop REALLY was if it werent for him.

As far as I am concerned, he’s bringing it back, and bringing it back HAARRRD!!

QQ more “Now you bout to feel the fucking wrath of aftermath, faggots.”

You’re a complete idiot you know that? This is one bad-ass single, it’s full of emotions.. Something you never heared of?

Eminem is still the greatest and always will be, it’s true he changed his style, because he matured. Noone wil be the same forever.. It’s a matter of taste if you like his new style. He’s not over he has grown in his carreer and now he’s even better with his lyric, more clearer.

  17. SubZero 03. Feb, 2011 at 6:54 pm #

This song is nothing special. Just sounds like one of eminem’s middle of the album tracks from one his last few albums which have totally sucked.
Dre should be rapping more on this especially since he didnt even produce it. Its not his song and its not his style. Sounds like he’s just jumping on the mediocre hip hop bandwagon we’ve seen in recent years.

  18. ProdiGee 08. Feb, 2011 at 10:08 am #

The Verses Dont Even Make Sense With The Hook…. Their Rapping About Em Getting His Record Deal And Shit Like That But The Hook is Talking about Needing a Doctor ?????

  19. Dougie phresh 11. Feb, 2011 at 4:00 am #

all of you all talkin shit, try losing a kid and then dictate how his flow or lyrical content should be. Punk bitches.

  20. L.A' Mark 14. Feb, 2011 at 9:46 am #

This song was meant to be a cry out for Dre to come back… hints the “doctor” part! technically it is his single its cuz Eminem is talkin about Dre being his “hero”

  21. Not porn likes gay porn 15. Feb, 2011 at 7:58 pm #

    Hey Not Porn,

You like to watch gay porn with Ja Rule and MC hammer. You really have no clue. The song was great, their performance at the grammy’s was great and and your just a pissed off loser who can only make it to kareoke on Wednesday nights because the rest of your fun filled week is paying child support from you MCdonalds salary. Deal with it and move the fuck on.

    1. When a father loses a child he will change, you can see it in his face and hear it in his voice. 2. He is passed 40, dont you think he had grown in 10 years as an individual? They both matured, you should do the same… Have fun at Kareoke and you need the doc, you just cant afford it… Faggot

  22. TSP 21. Feb, 2011 at 10:40 pm #

If you guys don’t like it, then don’t support it, simple, no need to be hatin’ like a bunch of gossiping lil’ bitches.

  23. Listen2DeTruth 27. Feb, 2011 at 2:15 am #

This song is trash. I thought Em and Dre would go hard, but wtf is this. The only thing remotely intresting is taht Dre looks like he’s on roids.

  24. Saint Evil 04. Mar, 2011 at 12:05 am #

U guys r bastards this is the best song ever

  25. paxil rose 06. Mar, 2011 at 6:21 pm #

are peoples STILL whining that dre isn’t rapping in his own songs? right, and the success chronic had nothing to do with snoop doog. dre has always been an incredible producer and underrated rapper who doles out his rhymes very sparingly. will there ever be a dre album where her spits more than 40% of the verses (realistically, if that) who knows. please, they didn’t even know whose album to put this song on. as far as not producing his own single, you gotta admit, dre, that is a bit suspect. but when he’s in the tank like luke skywalker in empire strikes back and em is rapping at him to come back, kind of tugs at the heart a bit don’t it?

  26. Jay 07. Mar, 2011 at 2:19 pm #

Not Porn, LOL you fail, for one they are small and weak at what they do, now that eminem has stopped with all his bullshit and addictions n got his life back on track hes back to bein the best at what he does, yeh hes big headed n arrogont (brit awards for example, im not singin unless im wining something) total wanker yes but hes still the best at what he does and will be for a long time, he can rap extreemly fast but whats the point in doing that when noone can understand a damn word when you rap fast? most people these days only know him from when he was eiver on drugs or when he just came off, for one they never listened to his originals, Infinite? first official single yet 90% of his “followers” have never even heard of it, it was his first ever official album, that was the album that made hum back in the 90s, before that he was doing underground rappin ect, he had a conflict with his mother who says eminem had a great childhood, well his mother says one thing n he says the other so i dont know if he did or not, he is the best rapper at this time n will be for a long time, it has been prooven, n when did juice murder him?? im guessin it was more than 2 years ago when he was on drugs so yeh, people who like eminem and have never heard of Infinite go download it n the rest of his past albums and singles, only then will you realy be a “follower”

I believe that this is a great song.. Eminem did a good tribute to Dre and they also gave props to Easy E. Quit being so critical.. I mean are you out there trying.. NO.. Like someone else said he’s DRE.. what else more is there to say.. he has already proven himself..

Today, I went to the beach with my kids. I found a sea shell and
gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She
placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit
crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back!
LoL I know this is completely off topic but I had to tell someone!
