The good doctor is finally here with his first official single off Detox produced by Alex Da Kid. The song leaked a lil while back but here’s the approved product via Interscope Records which was sent to radio stations a few hours ago. Buy the single on February 1st. For now, here’s a stream.

It’s working..
It’s crazy we only hear Dr. Dre after 3mn22 on HIS first official single. It felt more like a “Eminem featuring Dr. Dre” song instead of a “Dr. Dre featuring Eminem” song.
His flow is below average, and his inactive years really show.
But the most disappointing thing is that it’s not even a Dr. Dre produced track.
^ Dre has never been a ‘rapper’ primarily. He’s a producer. Him only rapping for little time is not a problem.
I agree, but he used to be decent at least. I’m really wondering what his input is on this song : he didn’t write the lyrics (Em probably did), he didn’t produce it (Alex Da Kid did), and he’s almost a guest on his own single.
It’s a shame : I was hoping he would come back with a huge single which would sound like Dr Dre material, and not like an Eminem song off Recovery :/

How did I predict these lyrics before the song started? I haven’t even listened to these fools in years. Even if I did hear them, it was accidental. As far as Em’s career goes, I still think JUICE could murder him anyday, AGAIN. Especially since they’re just using autotune and spitting the same bullshit style.
Repetitive, mainstream rap. What happened to Hip Hop? Real cats like KRS ONE, CHUCK D, JUICE, QWEL, MOLEMEN, and all sorts of others that are severely unappreciated because these white kids can’t keep up with lyrics faster than 60BPM. Not even like they’re listening to the lyrics anyway. “I JUST LIKE THE BEAT.” The same audience loves Jersey Shore.
