French Montana’s ‘Pop That’ which samples Uncle Luke and 2 Live Crew’s ‘I Wanna Rock’ was quite a hit last year. But Uncle Luke clearly expressed his disappointment when he told MTV (watch interview below) that he hasn’t been paid yet for the song.

French Montana has now responded to the controversy. He stopped by the Rise & Grind Morning show on Power 99 and talked about the upcoming ‘Freaks’ video, relationship with his father and getting shot in the head. He also spoke on Uncle Luke’s claim and revealed he didn’t get paid because he wasn’t the owner of the track. As a result, another person “named Jay something” was the fortunate one to receive the check.
