French Montana stopped by DJ Drama’s show on Sirius a couple of days ago. French spoke on his upcoming debut album Excuse my French which drops on May 21st, saying that it’s the best album to come out of New York in last 10 years. He expects it to sell about 200k copies in the first week. He also speaks on how ‘Freaks‘ came about and clearing the samples for it.
Continuing the chat, French speaks on the controversial MTV Hottest MCs list and defends MTV’s argument that most of his songs have hot features. He compares his situation to Meek Mill, arguing that his hit singles have had big guests on them but MTV didn’t pick on him.
