We already know that Freddie Gibbs’s split with Young Jeezy and his CTE imprint wasn’t too peaceful but it looks like the Gary, Indiana rapper still has lot to get off his chest. After performing at the Governor’s Ball in NYC two nights ago, he sat down with XXL to speak on his departure from CTE. During the chat, he calls Young Jeezy “fake” and promises to prove a thing or two to him.
Was Jeezy supportive of you doing your own thing?
Fuck no. Anything he tells you, itās going to be fake. I am going to give you the real. He gonna give you the sugarcoated version. Thatās the difference between me and him. He gonna give you the sugarcoated shit, I am going to give you the real. At first, when that whole split happened, I was being political about it. I was thinking, āMan, I donāt want to fuck up my relationship.ā But fuck that shit my nigga. Iām feeding the whole city. That nigga donāt do shit for me. I am going to point a nigga out when he bogus and he was bogus for not owing up to his business relationship and doing what he was supposed to do business-wise. Like I said, I never needed the nigga to do nothing for me, but do what you said what you were gonna do. You donāt hold true to your word, I donāt respect you. So I donāt respect no nigga that donāt hold true to his word. All that shit you rapping; I donāt respect none of that shit.
Gangsta Gibbs also revealed that he has three projects coming out in the near future, ESGN, Cocaine Pinata with Madlib and Str8 Killa Pt. 2 EP.
