One of the best tracks on J. Cole’s sophomore album Born Sinner is ‘New York Times’ . Many were surprised to hear 50 Cent collaborate with him and wondered if they were actually in the studio together or just worked it out on email. On today’s edition of MTV Rapfix Live, Cole explained the making of the song and confirmed that he was in the studio with 50 in Los Angeles where they recorded the track.

Cole also tells the audience how he was humbled to be in the studio with 50 and the advice/tip that the Queens rapper gave him. Born Sinner is expected to sell 290-315k copies in the first week.
