If Universal Pictures Chairperson Donna Langley has her way, N.W.A. including Dr. Dre and Ice Cube will be going on a reunion tour in Europe in promotion of the upcoming biopic Straight Outta Compton which opens in theaters on August 14.
“We don’t have anything settled yet with everyone’s schedules,” she says. “But we think it can create a lot of buzz.”
We hope they are able to pull it off.
In a special feature with Hollywood Reporter, the cast, along with Dre and Cube sat down for an interview where they discuss the making of the film, controversies surrounding the project, and more. Dre even comments on Suge Knight’s trial, “It’s just a really unfortunate incident, Maybe [Knight] was looking for trouble. I don’t know.”
