In the recent past, Lil Wayne’s comments on the Black Lives Matter movement and racism in general have been quite controversial. But he made sure to not back down during a recent interview on ABC’s Nightline show. In a preview released by the show, Weezy is asked about his opinion on Black Lives Matter by the host and his reply goes — “my life matter, especially to my b*tches.”
Wayne says that he doesn’t feel connected to something that doesn’t have anything to do with him. He also mentions that he’s a “young black rich motherf*cker” and could care less about this movement.
This is not the first time that he’s made insensitive comments about the BLM movement and racism in America. During an interview on the ESPN show UNDISPUTED last month, the rapper claimed that he’s never faced racism in America so he doesn’t know anything about it. Then later in an interview with the NY Times, he made it clear again that all he cares about is his family and who’s going to pay his next bills which had social media in a furore.
