One of the most successful rappers in last few years, Kevin Gates has been in legal trouble for almost two years now and it’s not ending anytime soon.
The rapper has now been sentenced for 30 months in jail for felony gun possession. Back in October, Gates was sentenced to 6 months in jail after being found guilty of kicking a female fan at a concert in Lakeland, Florida in 2015. In March this year, he completed that sentence but was immediately taken into custody again for an outstanding weapons-related warrant.
The particular warrant was issued because Kevin had failed to appear in court for the 2013 gun case. According to TMZ, the Cook County Sheriff’s Office in Illinois has said that the rapper appeared in court Wednesday and pled guilty to the charges.
