Major Lazer’s new single ‘Run Up’ has been rising slowly but steadily on charts worldwide and fans have been really looking forward to the video which Nicki teased a few weeks ago on her Instagram.
The official video for the PARTYNEXTDOOR and Nicki Minaj featured song is finally here. The clip is basically about a bunch of young folks partying it up at a fancy house and showing how obsessed they are about their phones. Even Nicki makes her first appearance through a FaceTime video call which she adjusts from portrait to landscape mode to match our everyday struggles.
“The idea was to laugh at ourselves and at the unconditional love we bear to our smartphones,” say the trio of Paul, Luc and Martin who directed the video. “Humor and absurdity came naturally in our speech because our will was not to accuse someone or something but just exaggerate it to foster reflection.”
Of course, Nicki doesn’t leave the opportunity to get her twerk game on either. Watch the video below.
