It may sound crazy but Rihanna, who has sold millions of singles worldwide has never debuted on number 1 on Billboard 200 in her career. But that is about to change with the Barbadian singer’s 7th studio album Unapologetic which some critics are saying is her best to date.
HDD projects that the album is on course to sell 240-260k in the first week, her biggest debut ever which is also aided by the holiday weekend. Not to forget, her single ‘Diamonds’ is the 12th number single on Billboard Hot 100 and the promo campaign for the album from Def Jam has been pretty top-notch.
Keyshia Cole was another artist who released her album Woman to Woman on Monday and is on target to 75-85k units.
