Three major albums were released on December 11th — Bruno Mars’ Unorthodox Jukebox, The Game’s Jesus Piece and Big Boi’s Vicious Lies & Dangerous Rumors. Each one of them is projected to sell fewer copies in the first week at retail than expected.
In spite of Bruno topping several charts with ‘Locked Out Of Heaven’, his album is expected to move 140-160k copies in the first week which will put him in direct competition with Taylor Swift for the #1 spot. The Game meanwhile will not reach the three figure mark with projections pointing to 75-80k. Legendary Outkast member Big Boi on the other hand is expected to return a disappointing 25-30k.
UPDATE: The holiday season seems to have brought a surge in sales. The Game is now expected to move 85-90k which should land him at the 6th spot. Bruno Mars is expected to move 150-160k.
