2 Chainz landed in trouble last night when he was arrested for possession of marijuana in Maryland. He was stopped by cops on his way to perform at a homecoming event at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, for going 79 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone. Police then smelled odor of burnt marijuana.
Further search of his vehicle led to finding of a backpack containing a grinder with trace amounts of marijuana. Sgt. Marc Black, State Police Spokesperson said that 2 Chainz claimed ownership of the backpack and was arrested and later issued a citation for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
But the story doesn’t end there. 2 Chainz later tweeted a photo of himself standing with two Policemen and aired his frustration over the arrest:
We to jail for a grinder??? REALLY??? I work hard and pray even harder , we gone always b good yall…. Not to mention my security said it was his and they said , he don’t smoke ,, how da fuk u know? Haha wut a valentines day!!!
Black told Baltimore Sun that the tweeted photo is now under review. He said there is no “no specific policy, per se” about officers taking pictures with people they arrest. “But we’re looking at it administratively to see if anything should be pursued.
