MTV crowned Kendrick Lamar as the Hottest MC in the game and they had it all planned to give the rapper a surprise. Kendrick was called to the MTV studios for a normal interview and had no idea that he was about to be #1 on the coveted list. Here’s the video footage of Sway going backstage and surprising Kendrick with the news. He later hit the stage to perform ‘Poetic Justice’ for a select live audience.
After the surprise, Kendrick sat down with Sway for an interview about concept of the album, recording with Dre, upcoming plans and more.
