Kanye took a lead after the June 18th battle with J. Cole but it was Cole who sold more than the G.O.O.D. Music boss in the second week (84k & 65k respectively), signalling that fans were more keen to purchase Born Sinner.
In the third week at retail, J. Cole is set to move a solid 60k units, which will enable him to cross Kanye by a good margin and even fend off the new releases by R&B singer Joe and pop/rock band Relient K to move to the #1 spot on Billboard 200. The last album to move to #1 (not debuting) was Bruno Mars’ Unorthodox Jukebox in the week of March 16th.
So is J. Cole winning the battle against Kanye?
After the jump, ScHoolboy Q tells Bootleg that J. Cole is producing on Oxymoron.
