Live from the Big Apple, tonight is the night that the leading, user-friendly video website known as YouTube will be hosting their 1st annual awards show.
Directed by Spike Jonez and hosted by Jason Schwartzman and Reggie Watts, the highly anticipated 2013 YouTube Music Awards will include several performances from Eminem, Tyler The Creator, Lady Gaga, and many others. YouTube put together some unique and original categories for the awards that they’re giving out allowing them to stand out from other award shows. Some of which include, “Response Of The Year”, “Innovation Of The Year”, and “YouTube Breakthrough”, just to name a few. The likes of Kendrick Lamar, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, and Nicki Minaj are up for nominations in various categories as well, making tonight a great night for hip hop.

“We’re setting out to create a night that’s all about making things and creativity in the spirit of everyone that uses YouTube. As well as giving out awards, we’ll be making live music videos. The whole night should feel like a YouTube video itself. We’re getting together a group of amazing artists and filmmakers to do this live.“
