Beyoncé is on a roll. TIME magazine has named the singer as one of the 100 Most Influential People in the world (full list here). Their annual list for 2014 also includes people from all walks of life including Pharrell Williams, Matthew McConaughey, Mary Barra, Edward Snowden, Malala Yousafzai and many more.
One song includes words by novelist Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie: “We say to girls, ‘You can have ambition, but not too much.’ ” Beyoncé has insisted that girls “run the world” and declared, “I’m not bossy, I’m the boss.” She raises her voice both on- and offstage to urge women to be independent and lead.
Along with the impressive cover, TIME has also debuted the music video for ‘Pretty Hurts’, which is rumored to be the next single off her latest self titled album. Watch it after the break.
