Kendrick Lamar Shakes Up The Super Bowl With Bold Drake Diss And Surprise Guests

Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl 59 halftime performance was nothing short of legendary, leaving fans buzzing with surprise cameos and bold moments that took his long-running feud with Drake to new heights. Kicking off with an unreleased song snippet and followed by “Squabble Up” from his latest album GNX, Kendrick immediately set the tone for a game-changing performance. Fans eagerly waited to see if Kendrick would play his diss track Not Like Us, especially with Drake's ongoing lawsuit against him and his label for defamation and harassment. Lamar's performance included an unexpected appearance by SZA and a quirky cameo from Serena Williams, along with Samuel L. Jackson’s comedic interruptions, all building the suspense around the Drake drama. In the middle of his performance, Kendrick turned up the heat, looking straight into the camera and directly addressing Drake with his famous lyrics, “I heard you like them young," as fans held their breath. Despite the tension, Kendrick censored himself when it came time to call Drake a "certified lover boy" and avoided saying “pedophile,” which had been widely speculated. As we informed you earlier, Timbaland has partnered with Microsoft and Lenovo for a new contest titled “Team Up With Timbaland” where upcoming artists can win a chance to record with the super producer. Starting August 18, artists can enter by uploading a YouTube video or SoundCloud link of their original track to Lenovo’s site (Lenovo.com/teamup), for a chance to win and have their song produced by Timbaland.

From August 27th to September 28th, fans can share and vote for their favorite original tracks and artists. Music creators and fans can also enter daily into the Team Up With Timbaland Sweepstakes until October 22nd, where they can win Lenovo products and other cool music gear every other week.

The Sweepstakes’ Grand Prize is a trip for two to L.A., with two Weekend One 3-Day VIP Passes to one of the largest, most popular, California music festivals from April 10-12, 2015!

Timbo and his team will then pick the 5 finalists based on creativity, originality and recording appeal which will be announced on October 13. They will then be given a 2-week surprise challenge by Timbo and whoever impresses him the most will win a day in the recording studio with him in Miami. The winner will be announced on November 6.

Readers should remember that they can vote as many times they want. Although there arae a lot of dope artists who have submitted their material, I personally voted for AsheYYY and Dwigtht James.
