2014 American Music Awards Nominations Announced

The nominees for the 2014 American Music Awards were announced yesterday on Good Morning America by special guests Jason Derulo and Charli XCX. No surprise that Iggy Azalea, who dominated the year with her hits ‘Fancy’ and ‘Black Widow’ is leading the pack with 6 nominations including awards for Artist of the Year, New Artist of the Year and Single of the Year. Trailing her are Katy Perry, Pharrell, and John Legend who are each up for 5 of them.

Interestingly, Artist of the Year category this year has as many as ten nominees instead of the standard five which includes artists such as Beyonce, One Direction, Eminem and Katy Perry.
