Taylor Swift notched up yet another GRAMMY tonight when she won the award for “album of the year” for her album 1989 which was not a surprise to most of us.
But it was her winning speech that got everyone’s attention. As she accepted the award, she told everyone, “There are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your fame“.
The line was a reference to Kanye’s recent tweet where he claimed that Taylor had told a common friend that Kanye had made her famous. The issue stems from a lyric in the song ‘Famous’ from Kanye’s album The Life of Pablo where he raps “I feel like me and Taylor might still have s*x/ I made that b*tch famous.”
Kanye claimed that he had taken her go ahead for the lyric but Taylor’s spokesperson had issued a statement saying the opposite.
Taylor returned the fire on the GRAMMYs stage tonight. Watch below.
