Hudson Mohawke has worked closely with Kanye West in the past few years, making multiple contributions to his Yeezus album as well as ‘Famous’, ‘FML’, ‘Freestyle 4’ and more on his latest project The Life of Pablo.
But looks like he isn’t in very good terms with him, Drake and others at the moment over handling of business. Late last night, Hud Mo took to Twitter and threatened to leak a folder of Kanye and Drake songs due to lack of money/credit.
“Literally about to release zip of kanye and drake songs I’ve done that I got 0 for,” wrote the producer before quickly deleting it. He later also called out mainstream rappers for having little business sense but let those tweets live on his timeline. A couple of days ago, the Scottish musician also ranted about other producers adding just “1 hi hat” to his work and taking all the credit.
‘Ye is known to work with a whole bunch of producers on his projects but this is probably the first time we have heard someone of this stature complain about the business side.
Mannn so tired of making careers for ppl who take my work n add 1 hi hat n take all the credit…exhausting shit
