The news of passing of Phife Dawg, one of the greats of Hip-Hop, has definitely moved the Hip-Hop world. Modern day rappers have often cited A Tribe Called Quest as one of the main influences so it’s not surprising that the development has hit them hard.
Kendrick Lamar performed his second Australia tour show at the Allphones Arena in Sydney Olympic Park tonight (March 23rd Sydney time) where more than 18k turned up to watch the Grammy award winning rapper perform. In between his set, after learning the sad news, he paid a thrilling tribute to Phife along with the crowd. Watch it below.
