It has been a pretty hectic week for Hip-Hop releases, with Kendrick Lamar’s surprise project adding to an already busy Friday with Dreamville rapper Bas dropping alongside Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz. A few days have passed since the releases and now we have some first week sales projections.
Kendrick Lamar’s untitled unmastered. EP is set to move 140k–150k (175K–185K including streams) by the end of the week, a strong figure considering there was little to no notice and it’s not a full length project.
2 Chainz and Lil Wayne come in projected for 35k–45k (with streams that makes 55–65k. Not too high but aside from their performance on The Tonight Show, there was hardly any promo so this was expected.
