Twenty years ago today, Jay Z released his debut album Reasonable Doubt which is considered a classic by Hip-Hop fans. It was released independently on Roc-A-Fella Records, the label Jay Z built with his partners Dame Dash and Kareem “Biggs” Burke.
On itsĀ 20th anniversary, Biggs sits down with Genius’ Rob Markman for a chat about the history behind the album, how some records didn’t make the cut onĀ it, lead up to the release, untold stories from the time and how the album changed the course of modern day music.
