ScHoolboy Q’s sophomore album Blank Face LP (peep the full credits & booklet here) is out now and getting rave reviews. Top Daw Ent.’s second in command has kept the guest appearances to a minimal this time around as well and delivered a cohesive project.
On the sales side, HDD projects that it will move 70-75k copies in the first week including streams. Out of that, 50-55k is pure sales. Drake on the other hand is expected to sell 14-17k copies of his Views album this week but inclusion of streaming numbers is taking his total to around 88-93k. This means that he will return to he number 1 spot on the Billboard 200 this week with Q finishing as the runners up.
In comparison, ScHoolboy Q’s now-platinum debut album Oxymoron released in 2014 sold 139k copies in the debut week, landing at the #1 spot.
Below, you can watch Q’s latest interview with DJ Whoo Kid where he discusses almost quitting rap because of his daughter, getting Kanye on ‘THat Part’, why Kendrick doesn’t have a verse on the album and people are “on his d*ck”, the reason he prefers Snapchat over Twitter and more.
