Drake’s wins refuse to die down this year. Chart topping hits, record breaking Billboard stats and multi platinum albums — he’s really on top of the world right now.
Although his latest album Views may have received the worst reviews out of all his projects so far, its popularity can not be denied among fans. The album has now been certified triple platinum by the RIAA for shipping in excess of 3 million copies. This is Drake’s second album to reach the mark as Nothing Was The Same achieved the same feat earlier this year. His sophomore album Take Care has already surpassed the 4 million mark.
Views is now the first album released in 2016 to achieve a 3x Platinum certification from the RIAA. It was released on April 29 this year via Young Money/Cash Money/Republic, therefore taking less than 4 months to reach the mark.
Congrats to Drizzy and his team!

In related news, Drake seems to have some new music in the stash. At an after party in Detroit, Drizzy played some new music for those present. A couple of short videos have surfaced where we can hear two different songs being played at the venue.
