Lyor Cohen Reveals Stage Name Change For Young Thug

Young Thug has been teasing his Jeffrey project for a while now and it looks like they are sticking with the August 16th release date.

But there’s something more that Thugger and his team seem to be cooking. His label boss, Lyor Cohen called into the Rap Radar podcast over the weekend and revealed that Thugger will be rebranding to No, My Name is Jeffrey which will be made official with an upcoming commercial.

“Young Thug is not going to be Young Thug anymore,” said Cohen. “His new name is gonna be, No, My Name Is Jeffery.” Cohen stressed that the name change was not a joke. “Please.. respect us to actually segue and utilize his name going forward, ok? Because it’s important,” Cohen continued.
