A lot has been said about Tory Lanez remixing Drake’s ‘Controlla’ since there has been a visible cold war going on between them for a while. Even Drake couldn’t keep his words back and took shots at all the “fake” ‘Controlla’ makers at his Summer Sixteen tour opener in Austin a couple of weeks ago.
Tory Lanez was a guest on Sway In The Morning yesterday where he addressed the controversy for the first time during an interview. “I just like that song. That’s all it was. I’m not a hater. I’ve expressed this before. I’ve never been hater. We like you. We just want to be #1. Is there a problem with that? Can I be the best? Can y’all watch me be great? Can y’all allow me to do that?” questioned the Toronto artist.
Tory also kicked a very impressive freestyle over Bryson Tiller ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ and Drake ‘4PM in Calabasas’ instrumentals which is defintiely worth checking out. That’s at the 19 minute mark. Watch it below.
