Looks like new music from Drake is not far away. His Summer Sixteen Tour made a stop at Tacoma, Washington this past weekend where he performed in front of approximately 20,000 people.
Towards the end of his concert, he appreciated the diverse crowd for keeping it peaceful throughout the show and announced that he has finished 6 or 7 new songs.

“I’ve been on this tour and I’ve been recording new music. I’m about like maybe six or seven new songs in. Just getting warmed up! I don’t know where they’re going to end up or what it’s going to be, but I can’t wait to come back to m*therf*cking Tacoma and play all that shit for you.”
No word on where the songs will end up but perhaps it’s that Drake/Gucci EP or the joint album with Kanye West. Time will tell.
