Remy Ma has been through a lot in her career. She was released from prison in August of 2014 after serving 6 years due to conviction from assault and weapon charges.
Her music career didn’t really take off post prison release, until she repaired her relationship with Fat Joe and gave birth to ‘All The Way Up’. The song has helped Remy make a strong comeback that has led to many more opportunities. The duo is prepping the release of their joint album Plata O Plomo.
But Remy is also working on a new album, the first since 2006’s There’s Something About Remy: Based on a True Story. During an interview with Rap-Up, she revealed it’s titled Seven Winters & Six Summers — a reference to the total time she spent in jail. When Remy was spending time in prison, she would think of the seasons as a way to count down to her release. The rapper also mentioned the term in her verse on the ‘All The Way Up’ remix with Jay Z.
