Bad news for The Game. Today, a jury reached a verdict against the rapper in a $10 million sexual assault case filed by reality contestant Priscilla Rainey.
In case you are new to this story, here’s a little background: Priscilla Rainey, a contestant on the VH1 dating reality show, She’s Got Game had filed a lawsuit against The Game last year, accusing him of sexually assaulting her during the days of filming of the show. She claimed that she was taken to a local bar in Illinois one night where The Game was highly intoxicated on drugs and alcohol. She alleged that she was sexually assaulted on several occasions on that night — including forcefully reaching his hand inside her dress to rub her private parts.
The Game had denied all charges, saying that she was once in a mental institution and also worked as a prostitute in the past.
The jury began hearing both parties’ testimony on November 14th and after 4 days of trial, the jury reached a verdict in the case today against The Game and in favor of Rainey, reports Jasmine Brand. The amount of damages awarded in the case have either not been made public or are yet to be decided by the jury. Stay tuned for more on the story.
UPDATE: TMZ reports that The Game has been ordered to pay $7.13 million but he is looking to appeal the order.
