Brooklyn rapper Casanova has been buzzing in the underground for a while now but received a setback when his friend Taxstone was recently arrested. The podcast personality was arrested on gun charges in January, stemming from a shooting at a T.I. concert last year at Irving Plaza, New York in which rapper Troy Ave was wounded, and his bodyguard Ronald McPhatter was killed.
Tax and Casanova had been closely working together up until then. Today, Casanova releases a new song and video called ‘Tax Letter’ in honor of Taxstone (born Daryl Campbell) where he raps about how much he misses his friend in this moment.
Casanova is releasing his debut mixtape Be Safe Tho on March 17th which will feature Chris Brown among others. Watch the new video below.
