Kanye West has been away from the public eye for months now. The last time he was seen on camera was at Valentine’s Day dinner date with wife Kim Kardashian. He hasn’t attended any events either since then — not even his Yeezy fashion show in February or the Met Gala last week. Kim rode solo there.
TMZ reports that Kanye has been busy making music. He has holed himself in a retreat on top of a mountain in Wyoming, the least populous state in the U.S. He was there about two weeks ago as well, focusing on new tunes, perhaps a new album. This looks part of the plan for ‘Ye to disconnect from the general public as he recently also deleted his Twitter and Instagram pages. This process is similar to the one he adapted while making his fifth album My Beautiful Dark Fantasy, when he went on a self-imposed exile in Oahu, Hawaii to craft the album, following the huge MTV-Taylor Swift controversy in 2009.
In an interview with Power 106 L.A. backstage at their Powerhouse concert over the weekend, Big Sean did hint at cooking up some new material with his G.O.O.D. Music boss but did not elaborate further.
